Join us for a special night of history, beer, and discussion on December 9 at Ardent Craft Ales. The event will feature the first taste of Ardent's persimmon beer, a brew based on a local 1700s recipe provided by the Virginia Historical Society. The evening will also include a talk and discussion about historic beer recipes, featuring author Lee Graves, and Tom Sullivan and Kevin O’Leary from Ardent. Paul Levengood, President and CEO of the Virginia Historical Society, will also speak about the importance of the VHS’s collections. Light food from Pizza Tonight and a beer ticket — valid for one full pour of any Ardent beer — is included in ticket price. Lee Graves will also be signing and selling copies of his new book, Richmond Beer: A History of Brewing in the River City, following the discussion. We hope you can join us for this opportunity to taste and learn about a unique piece of Richmond's brewing history and support the Virginia Historical Society.
Please note, we are offering special pricing for Virginia Historical Society members only. If you are a member and select this ticketing option, please bring your membership card and be prepared to present it at check-in.
